Beautiful dresses, tiaras, jewels and a life that goes beyond fairy tales, that is the British monarchy, a story of kings and princesses of the real world, as human as people who do not carry a title of nobility, with successes , with errors, with concerns, virtues and defects.

All this Netflix wanted to show in its acclaimed series The Crown, one of the series that swept 7 Emmy Awards on Sunday, September 19 of this year. At the award ceremony, the awards that the series took were the following:

Since the premiere of the series on November 4, 2016, the production obtained a resounding success and great acceptance from the public, becoming one of the favorites of the platform and also one of the most expensive with a budget that is around 6 and $ 13 million per episode, the first season alone surpassed a record of $ 130 million for its completion.

Part of that huge budget for its realization is destined to the costumes and the question is who has not fallen in love with the dresses and suits that appear in the series? Carefully studied and made in such a way that they are very close to those worn by the real members at the time, becoming one of the most important things in the series, something that allows us to be transported to the times shown in each chapter and that helps us to learn more about the personality of each of the characters.

The setting of each set product of the ingenuity of Adriano Goldman who acts as director of photography, together with the costumes that range from the beginning of the reign of Elizabeth II to go through history to the present time, under an exhaustive investigation of the events and what data would be used to capture them on the screen.

The costume designer for the first season was Michele Clapton and for the third and fourth seasons, Amy Roberts took over with the help of Sidonie Roberts (costume assistant) and Sarah Moore (costume supervisor). Each one has managed to captivate us with each design that, in addition to being almost a replica of the originals, let their imagination run wild to add some details of their own in each look.

The team represented what was the fashion of those yesterdays, the dress of Princess Isabel at that time whose details were replaced by pearls, sequins and diamonds, which cost approximately 37 thousand dollars and 7 weeks to make.
